Default fun build for ra/gvg/ab

i been messin around with my sin killin some melee crap in pve (yetis, trolls, minos) and was bored one night and took the build to ra. i dont know if a build like this is out there cuz all i see are sp/boa but here peep this.

flashing blades
jagged strike
wild strike
critical strike (sweet buff)
disrupting stab
exhausting assault
shadow refuge
rez siggy

usage: put on flashing blades, target something, hit 2 3 4, he will run or heal watever, hit disrupt stab his heal or res sig, then exhaust him(the disrupt is nice for opposing sins trying to kill ur allies. disrupt 2x him and his hex runs out or his combo gets fuxed, either way its nice). this isnt a big spike build but its really high dps. if they stay put, u can do 2/3/4 combo all day long. thanks to critical strike buff (+1...3) energy. plus from ur critical strike attribute. i run 10-13 depending on what im doing with maybe zealous dags, for 5 energy, get two hits maybe 60-120dmg depending wat ur hitting, and 12-14 energy.

counters : assloads of them haha. wildblow, knockdown, unblockable skills, pretty much any skills that belong to elem, mez, necro.

dont really take this build seriously in pvp, more like a farm build. but its jus funny attacking warrs/sins/dervs and see them unload their combos/attacks on you and not hit then they move away. even as they see me pummelling their monk. warrs come...block block block aww no wild blow, walk away to hit someone else. sins come...block block block awww no expose defenses, hes out of commission until sprison recharges. (funny with sins tho, they sprison me, i hit the target nearest foe button, flashing blades, and attack really quick they are lucky if they get the first dual in. they die shortly after.)
for gvg, if u can manage to get in their base, u can solo the area pretty easy, jus add way of perfection or some other self heal. jus kill a few archers and the bodyguard, u can solo the lord even with a mob of footmen stabbing at u.

edit- ok maybe not fun for gvg either. i meant like if ur scrimmin with some friends and want to jus fux around.

You've got five attack skills in there. Thats generally too much.
Jagged Strike => Wild Strike might be cheap and quick to recharge... they're rather weak and I don't generally see them advised for PvP (though PvE is another matter, since enemies die quickly and spammable combos are important). Critical Strike is a poor use of a Dual Attack compared to other options like Twisting Fangs (mostly for the Deep Wound, though re-applying bleeding seems like a waste of the lead attack, which could be replaced with Desperate Strike or similar). I'd say Death Blossom for spammability and good raw damage... but thats PvE stuff (maybe AB... maybe) and your PvP opponents will heal it easily enough.
While Disrupting Stab and Exhausting Assault can quickly terminate a monk's ability to heal... the recharge is quite unmanageable...

Flashing Blades? .... Only against non-spellcasters, and generally only in PvE... Useless if someone decides to zap you with spells... which generally will happen quite often.

Well... yeah.

I'll leave the other guys to be rude to you.

i could put death blossom for more dmg but will it give me a guaranteed 14 energy back? how can i spam with no energy? when i say i spam attacks, i mean i spam 2-3-4 more than bp 1,1,1,1,1,1 in tombs. if theres enemies standing, im there doing 2-3-4 on him while reusing instant flashing blades.
also, the recharge on disrupt/exhaust is both 8sec. pretty sure monks cant fully recover from exhaust in 8seconds. jagged strike i admit is weak but hey it causes a condition. while some dude is kiting hes losing health and when he stops to cast dismiss condition or watever, i can catch up hit with disrupt/exhaust. then i can hit jagged again cus its recharged alrdy. not to mention, my allies hopefully are pwning the other guys cus the monk im pressuring cant heal. there are times when i chase the monk for days. u think im a shit sin cus of that but that monk had to run for days cus he had no energy. couldnt heal his buddies or himself. when they start running i dont even use the jagged wild crit combo anymore, i jus disrupt and exhaust. slip in a lil jagged -> exhaust here and there if the monk wants to be sneaky run cast onespell run cast onespell. if my teammates cant kill 3v3 then thats not on me.

as i stated before, this kills most meleers ive fought in ra/ab cus for some reason they dont bring expose defense or wild blow or watever. and yes casters pwn me usually but disrupt/exhaust isnt there for nothing. it doesnt knockdown and do alot of dmg but it interrupts, exhausts, disables skills. this is a shit build at best but its fun and i last longer than my sprison/boa trying to kill a decent monk in the middle of a shitstorm.

ya this pwns in pve and if ur into that sort of thing or maybe need to unlock a skill really fast, take this and kill zaishen iway warr team. take some chump heros, send them in to die, stand in ur base, stack flashing blades and critical defense, shroud of distress (not really necessary. if my calculations is correct, if u keep attacking theres like a 6 percent chance ur gonna be hit with flashing/crit defense which shadow refuge can easily take care of.)

Just a quick note on Critical Strike for PvE... due to the *huge* energy return from this skill (13 Crit Strikes) I'd advise using Unsuspecting Strike as your lead. With the energy payback, you can go Unsuspecting --> Wild --> Critical on foes pretty much indefinately, and Unsuspecting is a monster of a lead (it regularly hits for 100+ damage - far more than the piddly degen from Jagged and on the same recharge).

Unsuspecting only does that bonus if they are above 90 health, otherwise its the same as Golden Fox Strike. If you are one of those people who hate conditional skills go with Golden Fox.

Then you'd hate to face me cos I bring Expose Defenses into PvP :333 then i'd unload Black Spider Twisting Fangs, and spam Death Blossom on you with Moebius :33

eh, unless you kill me first *shrugs* I'm still a rookie in PvP sooo yeah.

I find that in PvE that PvP builds kill things TOOO fast x_x;; Especially if you have Heroes. Flashing Blades is not bad for PvE, though, so no comments on that. I just like using Moebius since I like to spam attacks, but you don't get that until late in the game.

I like using Unsuspecting Strike and make sure I hit a target that the AIs aren't focusing on. It's nice seeing 120-160 damage :33 Since I use Moebius it doesn't matter much to me that it's just a bonus if 90% damage. Once target dies, I just regularly attack anything left since it's almost dead from everything else.

I also wouldn't worry about disrupts unless you know you'll need it for an area (Realm of Torment...*twitch*). Again, most things die pretty fast (Cept Realm of Torment...*double twitch*). Exhausting Assault...same thing as disrupts, though it would seem useful, you can kill things without it.

I just find having all attacks skills sufficient (including conditioning ones of course) for PvE more than enough.

But that's just what I do and that's for majority of PvE areas and if you're PuG or henching/heroing. Higher end areas of course require different tactics but meh

Otherwise, I don't think it looks that bad...don't know about the PvP end of it though. Don't know enough about it to make any comments ^^;

And my own way of playing may be faulty, but this is just based of what I've experienced having gone through all three campaigns with just heroes and henchies 90% of the time.
